A closer look at the Cuban Diva, Xiomara Laugart, who was born in Guantanamo and now is settled down in New York City. From the Cuban New Song movement (Nueva Trova) she is known world-wide as one of the greatest voices of alternative Latin music.

Acercamiento a la Diva Cubana Xiomara Laugart, quien nació en Guantánamo y reside actualmente en la ciudad de New York. Formada en la Nueva Trova, Xiomara es reconocida mundialmente como una de las grandes voces de la música latina alternativa.

Born in Cuba, Martínez graduated from the National School of the Arts, Cuba, and studied filmmaking at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica in Mexico. She has directed the documentary Paquete familiar; the short film Bad Days, My Love; and I Have What I Had to Have, a documentary focused on one of the best voices of Cuban music, Xiomara Laugart.

Nacida en Cuba, Tané es egresada de la Escuela Nacional de Arte (ENA) y el Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica de México (CCC). Realizó el cortometraje de ficción Malos días mi amor; el documental Paquete Familiar y Tengo lo que tenia que tener, documental que se enfoca en Xiomara Laugart, una de las mejores voces de la canción cubana.
