HFFNY presents a selection of films from UNIVERSIDAD DEL CINE DE BUENOS AIRES, a school that has played a central role in creating and supporting the new generation of Argentine filmmakers such as Pablo Trapero, Ana Katz, Mariano Llinás, Damian Szifron, Ariel Rotter, Celina Murga, Santiago Mitre, among others. This is a special selection of films of different years and styles.

SCHOOL OF FILM & TELEVISION OF SAN ANTONIO DE LOS BAÑOS (EICTV)

Celebrating 30 Years of Filmmaking

 

 
HFFNY pays tribute to the INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF FILM AND TELEVISION OF SAN ANTONIO DE LOS BAÑOS, CUBA EICTV– in its 30th Anniversary. Founded by master of Argentine cinema Fernando Birri, Colombian Nobel Prize Laureate Gabriel García Márquez, and ICAIC founder and Cuban filmmaker Julio Garcia Espinsoa, the school is considered one of the best of its type in the world. Thousand of students and professionals from more than 50 countries, have made EICTV a space of far-reaching cultural diviersity for which is now called The School of All Worlds.
