Ana Katz (Buenos Aires, November 2, 1975) is an actress, screenwriter, director, and film and theater producer. She studied at the Universidad del Cine and at various acting schools. She filmed numerous short films and the feature films The Game of the Chair (Casa de América Award, Special Mention at San Sebastian Festival), Una novia errante; (Films in Progress Award, Official Selection Un Certain Regard, Cannes Festival), Los Marziano (San Sebastian Festival Official Selection), My Friend from the Park; (Script Award – Sundance International Film Festival) and Sueño Florianópolis; (Argentina-Brazil co-production), for which she won the Special Jury Prize, Best Actress and Fipresci Prize at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival and was presented at the Toronto, San Sebastián, London and Rio de Janeiro Film Festivals, among others. The Dog Who Wouldn’t Be Quiet had its world premiere at Sundance in 2021.
