After an environmental disaster in Minas Gerais, a Brazilian geographer returns home committed to unveiling how mining has both shaped and harmed her native region and its inhabitants. IRONLAND is a hybrid film, where the main character interacts with real people and situations. A road movie about belonging and identity; about losing a world and trying to recover it.

Lucas Bambozzi (Brazil, 1965) is a multimedia artist producing works in a variety of formats such as installations, single-channel videos, and interactive projects. His artworks and films have been shown in solo and collective shows in more than 40 countries, held by organizations such as MoMA, ZKM, Frankfurter Kunstverein and ISEA-Ruhr (Germany), Laboral and Arco’s Expanded Box (Spain), Http Gallery (UK), Havana Biennale, ŠKUC Gallery (Slovenia), WRO Media Art Biennale (Poland), Centre Georges Pompidou and many venues in Brazil. Participated in film and video festivals such as Sundance, FID Marseille, Videobrasil, It’s All True Festival, Impakt, Festival do Rio, FILE, and many others. ESPAÑOL
