Teo, 11 years old, works with his father, Luis, on a mysterious machine that seeks to generate a deluge in a city where it doesn’t rain. Luis, obsessed with making it work, puts the machine at risk in the face of constant seizures by the authorities. Teo, seeking to help his father, gets involved with a gang of young spies led by two twin brothers, Raiza and Baca. From this meeting, Teo will question the obsession of his father and will reveal the hidden nature of the machine.

V. Checa directed three fiction short films: Jauregui, Louis Trent and Perform. He has participated in the Locarno Filmmakers Academy and in the Berlinale Talents. His works as a director, screenwriter and producer have been screened at various film festivals and video shows around the world, including: Tallinn Black Nights, Locarno, Montreal, Habana, Málaga and Lima Independiente, as well as at shows of the Peruvian alternative circuit. His debut feature film is The Shape of Things to Come.
