José de los Santos, a 70-year-old Colombian Pacific Coast resident and practitioner of ancestral mortuary rituals, is warned by his murdered son's spirit that he must die in peace and away from home. He embarks on a perilous journey through the jungle, defying armed groups and their curfews, in search of a peaceful death and to avoid purgatory.

José de los Santos, un hombre de 70 años que vive en la costa pacífica colombiana y practica rituales mortuorios ancestrales, es advertido por el espíritu de su hijo asesinado de que debe morir en paz y lejos de su hogar. Se embarca en un peligroso viaje a través de la selva, desafiando a grupos armados y sus toques de queda, en busca de una muerte pacífica…
