Feliciano is an 8-year-old boy, an alpaca herder and he feels euphoric because Peru has a chance to qualify for the World Cup. While he lives this excitement, the film reveals the situation of his community which is at risk of disappearing due to contamination of the pastures and pressure from a mining company, which threaten Feliciano’s world and dreams.

Feliciano es un niño de 8 años, cuidador de alpacas, y se siente eufórico porque Perú tiene la oportunidad de clasificar al Mundial. Mientras vive esta emoción, la película revela la situación de su comunidad, que está en riesgo de desaparecer debido a la contaminación de los pastos y la presión de una empresa minera, que amenazan el mundo y los sueños de Feliciano.

Franco García Becerra

Franco García Becerra (born 1977) is a Peruvian filmmaker. His debut feature, Southern Winds (2018), premiered at the Lima Film Festival. His shorts Indie (2008) and Lima (2011) both won awards at festivals, while Raíz (2024), his second feature film, had its world premiere at the Berlinale.

Sus cortometrajes Indie (2008) y Lima (2011) ganaron premios en festivales, mientras que Raíz (2024), su segundo largometraje, tuvo su estreno mundial en la Berlinale.
