JOSUÉ MÉNDEZ

Josué Méndez is a Peruvian screenwriter, producer and director who works in film, theater and television. He has written and directed the feature films “Días de Santiago” and “Dioses”, as well as participated in the production of “Paraíso”, “Las malas intenciones”, “Oliver’s Deal” and “Icaros: A Vision”. His films have received multiple awards and have been selected to represent his country at the Oscars, as well as participating in festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Berlin, San Sebastián and Toronto. Throughout his career, Josué has been chosen for the Cannes Film Festival Residency and for the Rolex Initiative for Disciples and Teachers. He serves as the Artistic Director of the Lima Film Festival, and is a Rolex Arts Fellow.

Josué Méndez es un guionista, productor y director peruano que trabaja en cine, teatro y televisión. Ha escrito y dirigido los largometrajes “Días de Santiago” y “Dioses, así como participado en la producción de “Paraíso”, “Las malas intenciones”, “Oliver’s Deal” e “Icaros: A Vision”. Sus películas han recibido múltiples premios y han sido seleccionadas para representar a su país en los Premios Oscar, así como participado en festivales como Cannes, Venecia, Berlín, San Sebastián y Toronto. A lo largo de su carrera, Josué ha sido elegido para la Residencia del Festival de Cannes y para la Iniciativa Rolex para Discípulos y Maestros. Se desempeña como director Artístico del Festival de Cine de Lima, y es un Rolex Arts Fellow.
